PENANG, Malaysia – September 29, 2025 – Newland AIDC has officially launched mass production at its Malaysia manufacturing base in partnership with NationGate, a leading local electronics manufacturing services provider. This milestone marks a key step in Newland AIDC’s global localization strategy and further enhances the company’s worldwide supply chain resilience.
During the launch ceremony, Guo Dong, General Manager of Newland AIDC, and senior executives from NationGate signed a strategic cooperation agreement at NationGate’s headquarters in Penang. The partnership signifies the start of volume manufacturing and a new stage of collaboration between the two sides.
NationGate operates eight factories in Penang, with a total floor area of over 93,000 square meters and more than 3,000 employees. Under the partnership, the two companies will integrate resources and technology to optimize manufacturing processes, improve yield rates, and ensure product quality and delivery stability. The collaboration will also focus on expanding market presence in Southeast Asia and globally, driving innovation and application of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technologies across multiple industries.
Guo Dong emphasized that amid global trade uncertainties and ongoing supply chain restructuring, accelerating overseas manufacturing and staying close to regional markets are essential to maintaining international competitiveness. Following the signing ceremony, both teams visited NationGate’s automated production facility to observe the first batch of mass-produced HR3000-BT handheld terminals, Newland AIDC’s latest-generation product featuring enhanced performance, stability, and user experience.
The Malaysia base will gradually expand production to additional product lines, enabling localized manufacturing, faster delivery, and improved responsiveness to regional markets. The new facility also supports flexible capacity deployment and mitigates risks associated with tariff changes and logistics disruptions.
The successful launch of mass production at Newland AIDC’s Malaysia manufacturing base represents an important milestone in the company’s “global localization” strategy. By collaborating with NationGate, Newland AIDC is building a more agile, resilient, and internationally competitive supply chain network—laying a strong foundation for its continued global growth in the automatic identification and data capture industry.
