Research Group from the China Democratic Progressive Party Visits Newland to Investigate New Quality Productivity Development

From April 22 to 25, Zhu Yongxin, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Executive Vice Chairman of the China Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), led a research group to Fujian province. The group visited Ningde, Putian, and Fuzhou to conduct an important annual investigation focused on "Enhancing the Effectiveness of China’s National Innovation System and Promoting the Accelerated Development of New Quality Productivity."

During their visit to Fujian, the research group conducted site visits to several key companies, including Ningde Times New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and the Ningde base of SAIC Group in Ningde City; Fujian Heng’erda New Materials Co., Ltd. and Sanke Tree Paint Co., Ltd. in Putian; Fuyao Group in Fuzhou; Fuzhou University National University Science Park; Fuzhou Software Park; Fujian Fuguang Co., Ltd.; and Newland Digital Technology Co., Ltd. The group also engaged in discussions with representatives from government departments, enterprises, and related institutions.

Zhu Yongxin stated that the concept of “new quality productivity” was proposed by President Xi Jinping, who has astutely recognized the trends in global science, technology, and economic development. This concept is part of Xi Jinping’s economic thought and is crucial for advancing high-quality development and modernization in China.

He emphasized that to develop new quality productivity, it is essential to improve China’s overall innovation system, unblocking innovation chains, optimizing resource allocation, and creating a conducive environment for innovation.

Zhu further stressed that Fujian, a province known for its strong private sector and regional economies, is well-positioned to develop new quality productivity. It is critical to create systems and policies that support innovation and to foster a favorable environment for private enterprises to thrive.

He Zhiming, Vice Chairman of the DPP Central Committee, also participated in the investigation.
